Ford developed the Ford Focus in America in 1999 and put the car on the market the following year, in 2000. The Ford Focus won the North American Car of the Year award in 2000. The first North American Ford Focus models (2000 – 2004) used the C170 platform as sedan hatchbacks (3-5 doors) and station wagons. As reported by autoevolution Wednesday (24/11), the car will be a competitor in the market VW Scirocco. Just as the Focus and new Fiesta, this coupe will be a model of Ford’s global product.

“Our plan was always to get Ford on a successful product lineup,” said Ford of Europe design boss Martin Smith. “Now we have to do it, we can begin to make the product more attractive and we will show how we will do this in Detroit,” he added.

This new model will look similar to a regular Focus, though it’s slightly longer, wider and lower, making it look more energetic. This new coupe will use a system of front wheel drive wheel drive the same with the Focus ST, but there will be a little engineering to increase stability. As for his own power source, this car will use 2.0 ecobosst turbocharged engine, capable of blowing power of 247 hp.

With that big engine power, able to throw a Ford Focus coupe is up to speed 100 km / h in about six seconds, and if it continues to step on the gas pedal, allowing it to reach a top speed of 250 km / h. It is mentioned that, in introducing its plan after the public before, Ford will soon be producing them in 2012.
