The market leader and India’s largest car manufacturer, Maruti Suzuki India Ltd (MSI) introduced the A-Star (when for the European market called Suzuki Alto) automatic transmission versions, Tuesday (08/17/2010).

Same as the manual transmission version, the A-Star matic use KB-series engine capacity of 998 cc. There are four variants, A-Star Lxi, Vxi Star (manual and matic) and A-Star Zxi.

“Suzuki A-Star matic appeared, in addition to the market development, as well as the ever increasing traffic congestion,” said General Manager of Marketing MSI.

Although these small vehicles, have many features for its class size. ABS featured Vxi variant and the driver’s seat in which the height can be adjusted. On the other hand, the variant Zxi, this automatic transmission has 4 teeth.

For the machines, KB-Series 3-cylinder is already wearing MPFi system. Hence, Maruti claimed fuel consumption in the city can be 14 km per liter on the highway and 19 km per liter.
